Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of LexMentor, including LexMentor Learn, journal pages, law notes, lectures, previous year question resources, submissions, contact forms, and related services.

Fair use onlyPersonal study is welcome. Scraping, resale, and dataset copying are not allowed.

1. Acceptance of these Terms

By accessing or using LexMentor, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you should not use the platform. We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

2. Nature of the service

LexMentor is a legal education and learning platform. It provides free educational resources, MCQ practice, notes, lectures, model answers, journal articles, research material, and tools for exam preparation and legal learning. The platform is designed to support study and research, not to replace professional advice.

3. No legal advice and no advocate-client relationship

Content on LexMentor is for education, research, commentary, and exam preparation. It is not legal advice. Use of LexMentor does not create an advocate-client, lawyer-client, fiduciary, consultancy, or advisory relationship. You should consult a qualified legal professional for advice on any specific legal problem, dispute, deadline, litigation strategy, compliance decision, or rights affecting matter.

4. Accounts and sign-in

  • You may use some parts of LexMentor without signing in.
  • Signing in allows Learn progress, accuracy, revision queue, bookmarks, and daily targets to sync across devices.
  • You are responsible for maintaining control of the email or Google account used for sign-in.
  • You must not share verification codes, misuse another person's account, or attempt to access another user's Learn data.
  • We may suspend or restrict access if an account is used for abuse, scraping, attacks, impersonation, spam, or unlawful conduct.

5. Learn progress and question content

LexMentor Learn provides practice questions, explanations, timers, scorecards, and revision signals. We try to maintain accuracy, grammar, relevance, and fair answer distribution. However, legal materials can change and educational content may contain errors, omissions, or outdated references. You should verify important law from official sources, bare acts, judgments, and current exam notifications.

Question banks are intended for educational preparation. They should not be treated as an official exam paper, official answer key, or guarantee of future examination patterns.

6. AI and automated features

LexMentor may include AI assisted or automated features, including Ask LexMentor, search assistance, summaries, or study support. AI outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for your specific facts. AI outputs are not legal advice and should not be relied on for litigation, compliance, filing, limitation periods, or any decision requiring professional judgment.

7. Journal submissions and contributor content

  • If you submit an article, note, comment, manuscript, or other content, you confirm that it is your original work or that you have the necessary rights to submit it.
  • You must not submit plagiarised, defamatory, unlawful, misleading, confidential, or rights-infringing material.
  • Submitting work does not guarantee publication, review, acceptance, payment, certificate, or editorial feedback.
  • LexMentor may edit accepted submissions for grammar, clarity, formatting, citations, style, SEO, and editorial consistency.
  • Unless separately agreed in writing, contributors retain ownership of their original work but grant LexMentor a non-exclusive right to review, edit, publish, display, promote, archive, and distribute the submitted work on LexMentor channels.
  • LexMentor may remove or decline content at its discretion.

8. Intellectual property

The LexMentor name, design, branding, layout, question banks, explanations, notes, original articles, software, structure, and learning interface are protected by intellectual property laws unless otherwise stated. You may use free resources for personal study and non-commercial educational reference. You must not copy, scrape, bulk download, resell, republish, create competing datasets from, or commercially exploit LexMentor content without written permission.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Attack, disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, or probe the platform.
  • Use bots, scrapers, automation, or bulk extraction tools without written permission.
  • Upload malware, harmful code, spam, or deceptive content.
  • Impersonate another person, institution, contributor, or LexMentor representative.
  • Misuse contact forms, submission pages, or account systems.
  • Use LexMentor to violate applicable law, court orders, privacy rights, intellectual property rights, or academic integrity rules.

10. Third party links and services

LexMentor may link to YouTube, Google Drive, Google sign-in, Supabase, LinkedIn, Instagram, external judgments, articles, reports, and other third party resources. We are not responsible for third party websites, policies, availability, accuracy, or security. Your use of third party services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

11. Availability and changes

We may update, remove, redesign, restrict, or discontinue any part of LexMentor at any time. Free access does not create a guarantee of permanent availability, feature continuity, storage, or support. We may perform maintenance, migrate infrastructure, or change providers as needed.

12. Disclaimer of warranties

LexMentor is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that the platform will be error-free, uninterrupted, fully secure, current for every legal development, or suitable for your specific purpose. Educational materials are provided in good faith, but users must verify important legal propositions before relying on them.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LexMentor, its owner, contributors, editors, service providers, and affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, academic, professional, financial, or legal losses arising from use of the platform, inability to use the platform, reliance on content, incorrect answers, missed updates, third party links, AI outputs, or technical issues.

14. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold LexMentor harmless from claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your misuse of the platform, violation of these Terms, infringement of third party rights, unlawful submissions, or breach of academic or professional obligations.

15. Termination and account deletion

You may stop using LexMentor at any time. You may request account deletion by using the Delete Account page or by contacting us. We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access where necessary to protect users, content, security, legal compliance, or the integrity of the platform.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable law, disputes relating to LexMentor will be handled by courts with competent jurisdiction in India.
